**From Victory to the Ground**

July 1, 1863,
was probably the day of the bloodiest
scene I've ever seen.
Never thought the day would come
where I'd witness such pain,
watching the confederates slowly faint away.
Forever and forever no longer will they be seen,
lying on the ground that was
changed to a bloody red from green.
Going into battlefield to win
is what they thought,
and coming out alive cus they were all
as tough as a knot.
No one else to appreciate for this
nobody else to thank,
Cus we all know that this was done
by none other then a YANK.

**F1GHT FLA5HBACK**

1.7.08

One of the biggest fights I've been in would probably have to be when I was in the 6th grade.
It was around Christmas time and we were in English class making ornaments for the schools Christmas tree. The girl that sat beside me had been called up to the office and when she came back the teacher gave her an ornament to decorate but she already had one on her desk, so she got it and threw it on my desk, at that time i wasn't really the fighting type and I was really trying to avoid getting into a fight with her because she was way taller and a couple years older then me, so in other words, i was scared. So all I did was put it back on her desk, but when I did she got it and threw it back at me and it hit me in the face, so i got up, pulled her hair and threw her on the ground. She was trying to get up by grabbing on to my shirt but I just kept punching her, when she was able to get up she pulled my hair and scratched my chest with her comb, I was trying to get back at her but her friend grabbed me and pushed me back, I was already upset and that just got me even more mad so I got a chair and hit both of them with it, and one of them started crying, the school officer ran to get me out of the class and I got sent to the office. I remember getting suspended but I'm not really sure for how long, but when I came back from suspension, I got put in another class. I'm not really sure if the fight hurt or improved my relationship with her because i didn't even know her to begin with but when we got back from Christmas break she was trying to start something with me because she would always bump into me on purpose. so I guess the only lesson I learned from this is that even though someone beats the crap out of you, you still ask for more. **TH3 3ND**

GROWING UP FOR SOME PEOPLE IS REALLY EXCITING BECAUSE THERE'S LOTS OF THINGS THAT WE'RE NOT ABLE TO DO WHEN WE'RE SMALL BUT WE GET THE CHANCE TO WHEN WE'RE GROWN. LIKE WHEN I WAS SMALL I REALLY WANTED TO DRIVE, ALL THE TIME I WOULD SIT IN THE DRIVER SEAT OF MY DADS CAR AND PRETEND I WAS DRIVING, AND THAT WAS PRETTY MUCH WHAT I WANTED TO DO WHEN I WAS OLD ENOUGH. AND NOW THAT I'M GROWN AND DRIVING, IT KIND OF GETS OLD AND TIRING. BUT I GOTTA STICK WITH IT. ALSO GROWING UP CAN BE PAINFUL, BECAUSE ONCE YOU'RE GROWN YOU START WORKING, PAYING BILLS, YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN, YOU CANT DEPEND ON MOM OR DAD ANYMORE, AND WORST OF ALL THE FACT THAT YOU'RE JUST GONNA KEEP GETTING OLDER AND OLDER. SO YOU GET ALOT OF PAIN OUT OF GROWING UP, BUT THERE'S LOTS OF EXCITEMENT YOU CAN GET OUT OF IT TOO.

my 5 purposes of the govt. are...
1. Peoples safety
2. Jobs
3. Free Schooling
4. To provide any type of Public Service
5. To lock up any criminals
If the government wasn't fulfilling the purposes I listed, I think I would join a revolution because I think that they are completely able to have these things done. Not only for me but for everybody else. By peoples safety, I mean being able to control any type of invasions or attacks from other countries and also being able to punish any criminals. By jobs and free schooling I think anyone should get an education with out having to pay for it, and jobs should be given to those that need them.

**A WELL ORDERED FAMILY**

11.13.08

From what I read, the marriage life back then wasn't all that different from the marriage life now, just that it seems a little more controlling. What surprised me the most was that the husband is the head of the wife which to me seems like if the husband has complete control of his wife. To me it also seemed like the women couldn't do much on their own with out first asking their husbands. But other then that marriage back then is also very similar to now because even though it seems like the husband controls the wife, they still have to love them and treat them with respect anyways.

SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO?

11.6.08

I would have to say that the motivation for people coming to the United States is better jobs and a better life overall. In many countries there are plenty of jobs but are very difficult and pay very little which makes it hard for people to be able to pay any type of bills or even feed their families. And they choose to immigrate to the United States so they can make enough money to send over to their families and maybe even try to get them to come to the United States as well. Also I think what motivates people to immigrate to the United States is their children and their education. They think about what type of future they can have here and not really be able to have it in their home countries because they feel like there is lots to offer here. If I was to immigrate anywhere I think I would move for economic reasons as well.
